What we DO
Provides universal and individualized mental health consultative services based upon the Pyramid approach to Social Emotional programming. Works as a collaborative team member to support teachers, parents and community partners in the promotion of age-appropriate social emotional skills, the prevention of social emotional problems and the individualized response to behavioral and/or social emotional needs of young children.
Requirements
Master’s Degree In
Psychology
Counseling
Social Work
Education
or
closely related field
Proven team and leadership skills with willingness to work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate program services and implement changes that will enhance the quality of services provided.
Formal education and/or at least one year of experience providing mental health services to children birth to five years of age.
Strong clinical assessment skills including familiarity with the impact of trauma, poverty, mental illness, neglect and abuse on young children.
Strong written and oral communication skills, familiarity with adult learning styles, experience working with diverse populations and providing large group trainings.
