What we DO
Coach Mentors provide individualized and/or group professional development, mentoring and coaching focusing on new classroom staff to ensure successful onboarding in their identified position.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree IN
early childhood education
or
closely related field
Be well versed in Creative Curriculum, the CLASS assessment, ITERS/ECERS, PDIS, the Pyramid Plus Approach, Teaching Strategies GOLD, DRDP, birth through 5 years old child development, CPCD Policies and Procedures, and Colorado Licensing Rules and Regulations
Ability to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in performing essential job functions
Possess or quickly obtain CLASS Observer Certification for Preschool, Toddler and Infant
Possess or immediately obtain Interrater Reliability Certification for DRDP and GOLD
Advanced knowledge and experience in the areas of early childhood, adult learning theory, instructional methods, and working with diverse populations and learners
Possess or immediately obtain Interrater Reliability Certification through My Teaching Strategies in both Birth through age 2, including children with disabilities and Preschool, including dual language learners and children with disabilities
A minimum of two years of successful work experience as a Lead Teacher in a formal ECE program and/or Coaching/Mentoring experience in an ECE program
Possess or immediately obtain Trainer Credential through the Professional Development Information System (PDIS)
Have attended or attend next available Teachers Learning and Collaborating Training
