In collaboration with the Child Development Services Manager, provides strategic leadership for the Child Development Department program staff. Assures high quality, integrated, comprehensive child development services to children and families.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree In
Early Childhood Education/ Development
Special Education
Educational Administration
or
closely related field
Knowledge of Colorado Child Care licensing and Head Start Performance Standards.
Three or more years of successful management and supervisory experience in a child care center, preschool or Head Start setting
Knowledge of early childhood instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, child and adult learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, design of individual development plans, and outcomes assessment focusing on all domains of development
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution. This includes strategic, operational, standing, and single-use plans, resource allocation, budgeting, staffing, leadership techniques, and continuous improvement methods
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and successfully with teams
