What we DO
Supervises and leads the daily operation of early childhood education programs for assigned classrooms. Provides management/leadership and coordinates multiple priorities. Assures implementation of health and safety practices, curriculum, instruction, policies and procedures within assigned classrooms. Works with diverse families, community groups, and staff. Performs management functions of planning, organizing, monitoring, staffing and leading.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree In
Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Development
Educational Administration
early childhood curriculum and assessment
or
closely related field
Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of computers and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software programs
Must meet minimum requirements for Colorado Department of Human Services Director Qualified status or agree to immediately begin coursework for DQ and be able to obtain in a timely manner
At least two years of successful classroom teaching experience with children birth to five years of age
At least one year of supervisory experience and training in supervisory skills, communications, group process, observation techniques, management and organization
Preferred:
Master’s degree
Bilingual in Spanish and English
