Developmental Behavioral Interventionist

What we DO

Under the delegation and supervision of the ECSE Lead, the Developmental Behavioral Interventionist (DBI) will provide early childhood special education intervention services to children with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs). DBIs will have regular consultations with the ECSE Lead, on special education adaptations and strategies to ensure the successful integration of children with special needs.DBIs may attend IEP meetings with the ECSE Lead as a CPCD representative. DBIs will be responsible for direct and indirect service time, ensuring that accommodations are in place and being implemented and will work on goals, all as outlined in the IEP.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree IN


psychology


counseling


social work


early childhood education


or


closely related field


At least one year of successful teaching experience with children birth to age five

Must have access to reliable transportation to perform functions of the job

Preferred:


Master’s Degree


Completion of 18 session Pyramid Approach training.


Familiarity with CLASS assessment tool


Bilingual in English/Spanish
