Early Childhood Special Educator Lead

What we DO

Provides support to Early Childhood Special Educators with early childhood special education intervention services to children with IEPs or IFSPs where this service is indicated. Acts as case manager for every child on an IFSP/IEP and works closely with parents to encourage their involvement. Provides training to staff and attends IFSP and IEP meetings as CPCD representative as needed. May also have a small caseload of students to provide services to.

Requirements

Master's degree IN


Early Childhood Education/ Special Education


At least one-year supervisory experience and training in supervisory skills, communications, group process, observation techniques, management and organization

Possesses the ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities

Demonstrated ability to find and utilize resources in all areas of early childhood education.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of special education, inclusive early childhood development special education programs

Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Licensure with endorsement in ECSE Birth-5 years old

Possesses the ability to work with diverse families, community groups, and staff
