Executive Assistant to the CEO

What we DO

The Executive Assistant to the CEO coordinates and administers functions relating to the effective and efficient operation of the Executive Department and provides support services to the President/CEO. The Executive Assistant represents the Executive Office and facilitates good public relations with various stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Parent Policy Council, Leadership Council, and agency partners. They serve as a liaison for the CEO and CPCD with the Board of Directors and Policy Council and provides support for the Board and Policy Council including scheduling regular and special meetings, assisting in the preparation of agendas, and recording and distributing minutes of meetings. They provide support for selected grant projects; compose, edits, and produce documents (i.e. reports, executive summaries, business letters, etc.); and prepare confidential correspondence. They have a high level of integrity and discretion, along with administrative experience, technical and writing skills, and frequently exercises independent judgment within agreed-upon limits.

Requirements

Associates Degree in


Business Administration


Secretarial Science


or


related field


Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to multi-task, self-motivated, works independently, completes projects and meets deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure and produce accurate outcomes. Excellent grammar, writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience in taking minutes of meetings

Good interpersonal skills to effectively relate with the public and staff personally and on the telephone

Must have knowledge and practical skills of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)

Type 50+ wpm. Skills to operate general office equipment and machines. Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information, demonstrating appropriate judgment and discretion

Minimum of three (3) years of successful work experience in a comparable position
