What we DO
The Health/Nutrition Director is responsible for overseeing quality health, wellness and nutrition services for young children and families enrolled in CPCD’s early childhood education programs through appropriate community referrals and training.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in
health related field
Experience with comprehensive detailed record keeping systems
Ability to create and maintain good interpersonal relationships
Minimum of two years management and supervisory experience
Minimum of five years public or school health experience
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution. This includes strategic, operational, standing, and single-use plans, resource allocation, budgeting, staffing, leadership techniques, and continuous improvement methods
Preferred:
Colorado Registered Nurse License (or the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license)
At least two years registered nursing experience with children or general nursing care
Knowledge of Colorado Child Care Licensing requirements
Working knowledge of Colorado Springs and El Paso County health care facilities and community agencies
Experience with low-income families and community health services
Administrative ability in organization and coordination of health services and working
