What we DO
Implements motor therapy services in a preschool setting; including structured assessments, screenings, treatment, and documentation of contact with children and families. Offers training to staff and/or families on physical development and appropriate interventions. Provides gross and fine motor/sensory interventions as they apply to children.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree IN
physical therapy
Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT)
DORA license
Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of hire) a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider licensure
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged and personal information of clients
Demonstrated ability to provide case management
Preferred:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of early childhood education
Ability to work with low-income families, community groups, and staff
Must become knowledgeable the program’s policies, rules, and regulations with respect to functions performed
