What we DO
Provides support to Speech Language Pathologists (SLP)and Speech Language Pathologists Assistants (SLP-A) in implementing speech therapy services in an inclusive pre-school setting which includes structured assessments, treatment, and documentation of children. May acts as case manager for child on an IFSP/IEP and works closely with parents to encourage their involvement. Provides training to staff and attends IFSP and IEP meetings as CPCD representative as needed. May also have a small caseload of students to provide speech therapy services to.
Requirements
Masters
degree IN
Speech/ Language Pathology
Preferred:
Pediatric experience within an educational program
Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)
Ability to work successfully with low-income families, community groups and staff
At least one-year supervisory experience and training in supervisory skills, communications, group process, observation techniques, management and organization
Ability to successfully coordinate and manage multiple priorities
Case management experience
Must become knowledgeable of the program’s policies, rules, and regulations with respect to the functions performed
Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of hire date) a Colorado Department of Education (CDE Special Services Provider Certificate)
