Leads the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan for staff, volunteer, and family programming. Works closely with department leaders to cultivate an environment that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and total well-being. Creates and delivers organizational training that focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion, total well-being, and employee engagement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in
human resources
organizational development
leadership/management
communication
diversity studies
or
related degree
Ability to effectively champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee development throughout the organization
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
Position requires excellent organizational, planning, communication, persuasion, and analytical skills, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and follow through
Experience in leading DEIB initiatives and programming designed to build cultural competence on issues of race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual identity, and religion
Preferred
Experience in Employee Wellness Programs
Training and Development certification(s)
advanced training in diversity and/or employee wellness-related fields
Experience working with professionals in the early childhood field
One to three years of experience in Human Resources and/or employee relations
or SHRM certification
Experience or training in identifying and eliminating structural barriers to DEIB within an organization
Experience in adult learning and training
